About the event

We are offering 3  interactive workshops to help you improve community cohesion; foster better understanding, respect and cooperation; and develop, and sustain, your own local #WeStandTogether and #YouthStandTogether groups.

Train the Trainer - Using the #WeStandTogether Anti-Discrimination Pack Monday 31st October 2022 10:00 to 11:30 and 19:00 to 20:30

A practical workshop exploring how to deliver sessions from our new Anti-Discrimination Pack, which consists of interactive workshops for schools, colleges, youth and community groups.

The resources enable participants to learn about different cultures, faiths, disabilities, nationalities, gender identities and sexual orientations; discuss their perceptions and the different discrimination and stereotyping faced; how this can be challenged and come up with practical actions to take themselves.

Community Engagement and Development for Cohesion Tuesday 1st November 2022  -  10:00 to 12:00 and 19:00 to 21:00

A practical workshop to help you be successful in running local cohesion activities and sustaining a local cohesion group.

Discover how to use different engagement methodologies; identify and use practical and creative methods; tackle participation barriers;  involve individuals and organisations; utilise community knowledge and experience and channel this into collective action.

Fundraising for Cohesion Activities Thursday 3rd November 2022  -  10:00 to 12:00 and 19:00 to 21:00

A practical workshop exploring how to maximise your chances when applying for grants and other ways to raise funds.

The workshop will help you understand the process of fundraising from identifying a project to nurturing a funder; identify your unique selling properties; get evidence to prove that you can deliver a project; get tips on writing strong bids; and identify a range of fundraising opportunities in addition to grants.

Whether you are a Community Worker, Activist, Youth Worker, Young Leader, Teacher or Volunteer you are welcome to come along, either individually or as an organisation, and find out how you can be part of #WeStandTogether's Community Cohesion initiative.
