About the event

Our next Difficult Dialogue on 'New Legislation and Effects on Cohesion', in partnership with many wonderful organisations, will give you the opportunity to explore the implications of the Police, Crime, Sentencing and Courts Act 2022 and upcoming proposals to replace the Human Rights Act 1998 with a Bill of Right.

The event is open to all and will be hybrid with both in-person and on-line access.

In-person Venue: Limelight Old Trafford

Zoom link will be sent after registration.

ALL DONATIONS WILL GO TO SUPPORT WE STAND TOGETHER'S COHESION WORK IN OUR COMMUNITIES.

We will address key questions including:

  1. How will legislation affect the rights of the Gypsy, Romany and Traveller (GRT) community?
  2. What is the potential impact upon the right to lawful and peaceful protests?
  3. How should We Stand Together and others be responding to these changes?

The format for dialogues is a conversation and not a debate. People can share personal experiences and opinions. When we disagree we do so with respect. This is about listening and sharing.

All discourse should be undertaken in a spirit of understanding, hearing others – an antidote to ‘fake news’ and conflict-speak.
